Juniper Court Debuts on January 31, 2018

Art Review

On Wednesday January 31, local author Phoebe Alexander will debut the first novel in a series of romance novels that take place on a cul-de-sac with dozens of secrets. The series brings together 7 authors each writing the story about one of the 7 homes on Juniper Court.

In the opening pages of Project Paradise we are introduced to Valley and her husband David. Valley and David have just recently moved into their house on Juniper Court and it is David who encourages Valley to go go and make friends. Make friends is what they do. They decide to take a plunge into the world of swinging and turn 6 Juniper Court into a swinger paradise.

Along with meeting Valley and David we are introduced to the other residents of Juniper Court with the interactions between the families.

The exact location of Juniper Court is never actually given. It could be in any suburban community in America. With very little imagination one could see the cul-de-dac in their hometown, even here on the Delmarva Peninsula.

I was given an Advance Readers Copy of the book and I really enjoyed it. Having read many of Ms Alexander’s books I have to say that this one is one of my favorites. I am often distracted when reading, but this one I finished in less than 24 hours. It was that enjoyable. And a very good 1st novel in the series. If the rest are as interesting Project Paradise readers are in for a fun ride. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series, which won’t be long since The New Neighbor by Isabelle Peterson is being released a week later on February 7th.

While Phoebe Alexander’s book is the first published, it was Isabelle Peterson idea to do a series of books that take place on one street. In the Introduction of Project Paradise, Phoebe Alexander tells how Isabelle invited her and others romance authors who write in different sub-genres such as ‘Seasoned Romance, Menage, Romantic Comedy, Gay Romance, and BDSM” to be part of the project.

This is not the first review I have done on the writing of Phoebe Alexander. Read my review on two of her books at Review:Author Phoebe Alexander/
