As we begin our journey toward the New Year I would like to comment briefly about 2016. Where to begin? So many things have happened in 2016. Many of them were exciting and there were quite a few downs.

There have been many deaths in 2016. So many that in a few years from now when asked, “when did ‘Enter Name’ die?” the answer 2016 would be a likely answer. A year of deaths of those who created so many memories for us, the Baby Boomers and Generation Xers. It’s part of the cycle of life. But one thing we have are those memories and in many cases the work of artists whose works will be enjoyed by future generations.

I’m not as young as I use to be. None of us are. But one thing we know is that change will occur. I have changed in many ways in 2016. I have ventured out more into the Art and Entertainment field. I’ve created the ChesaDel Crier as a way to give a combined overview of the Arts. It could be performances, such as stage shows or concerts. Or visual arts; paintings, sculptures, photographs or any other of these arts. Or just information on cultural events that are going on all throughout the Upper Delmarva region throughout the year.

It’s been a slow process. One I will carry on into 2017. One that I am hoping will grow and thrive.

I want to give Thanks to those who have read the ChesaDel Crier. I hope that you will continue to come back. It would be even better if you could share the site with your friends.

Best Wishes to every one for a Fantastic 2017!!
