Ansel Adams Exhibition & Tours of the Museum
Serving as a dramatic backdrop for the Biggs Gala, this exhibition presents the work of iconic American photographer and conservationist, Ansel Adams. His work can be viewed as the end of an arc of American art concerned with capturing the “sublime” in the unspoiled Western landscape: a tradition that includes several painters on view within the Biggs Museum including Albert Bierstadt and Thomas Cole. Attendees will also be able to browse the Biggs Museum permanent collection and meet students who are a part of the museum’s Junior Docent Program.
The Gala is designed to bring in substantial revenue that directly supports temporary exhibitions and educational programming for the forthcoming year. Tickets for this event range $200 per individual to $2,500 for a table for ten. Tickets can be purchased by mail, phone or on-line at www.biggsmuseum.org. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Please purchase tickets by May 10th to ensure seating.
