REHOBOTH BEACH, DE

On June 29th, 2017 the Art League hosted a Patron Party for the 2017 Cottage Tour home owners, sponsors, patrons and volunteers who make the annual tour a great success. The 130 attendees were an indication of just how popular this tour is. Featured artist Marilyn Feldman presented each of the six homeowners with the framed original pastel painting of their home. She also presented the Rehoboth Art League with an original painting of the campus’s historic Peter Marsh Homestead, which is always a highlight of the Cottage Tour.

The July 11th & 12th Cottage Tour will include six exceptional private homes and the Art League’s Historic Homestead. J. Conn Scott, tour underwriter, has begun the interior make-over of the Homestead. Richard Scott and Lisa Scott are blending modern furnishings and decorations to compliment the historical design in the first floor of the Homestead.

The self-paced tour takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, July 11 – 12, 2017 from 10 AM – 3 PM each day. There is free parking at the Rehoboth Elementary School at 500 Stockley Street and the Art League provides Jolly Trolley shuttle service to each home on the tour.

Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased on the RAL website at rehobothartleague.org, by calling 302.227.8408 and at these locations: in Rehoboth Beach; Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres, Bellinger’s Jewelers, Browseabout Books, Farmer Girl Exotic Gardens, J. Conn Scott Showhouse, Windsor’s Flowers & Plants; in Fenwick; Carolina Street; in Lewes; Community Bank of Delaware and Lewes Gourmet; in Bethany Beach; Sea Needles. This tour is appropriate for ages 13 and over.

The Cottage Tour proceeds benefit the programs of the Rehoboth Art League which seeks to teach art, inspire artists and their admirers and preserve the artistic heritage of the region. The art league welcomes sponsorship support from local businesses.  For additional information on the tour and other Art League events and classes visit www.rehobothartleague.org.
