REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – August 15, 2017
Guest artist Michele Byrne will be teaching a three-day workshop for intermediate oil painters entitled “Plein Air Palette Knife Impressions in Oil” at the Rehoboth Art League August 28 through August 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day. Michele will show participants how to keep their oil painting loose with a palette knife and bold brush. She will go over her basic composition theory, value studies, and how to tell a story in paint. Michele will also discuss how to add the figure to your paintings in a natural way to give your paintings life.
On the first day, Michele will teach basic knife techniques indoors with demos and exercises. The next two days the class will be painting outdoors from life (weather permitting). There will be daily demos each morning followed by student painting time. Michele will spend the afternoons helping each student as needed. The cost of the three-day workshop is $375 per person.
