Building African American Minds (BAAM) Inc. will host the fourth annual BAAM Fest on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Idlewild Park in Easton, MD. The Fest will celebrate the partners BAAM has collaborated with in helping African American males become productive, confident citizens through positive academic, social, emotional, and spiritual experiences as children and young men. There will be informational booths, musical entertainment by MAMA JAMA, DJ, giveaways and door prizes, face painting, a clown show, juggling show by Cascading Carlos, dance contest, and a basketball tournament (starting at 10 a.m.). Free food will be provided by Frase’s Grills on Wheels of Preston, offering hot dogs, burgers, BBQ chicken and side dishes.
Community partners attending the event will include Alpha Kappa Alpha, Chesapeake College Adult Education, Choices Pregnancy Center, Easton Family YMCA, For All Seasons, Healthy Talbot, Imagination Library, Mid-Shore WIC, Talbot County Health Dept- CPEST and BCCP Programs, Talbot County Hunger Coalition, TriLife Christian Center, Vet Center Dept of Veteran Affairs, Neighborhood Service Center and Pickering Creek Audubon Center.
