(Rehoboth Art League)
Learning to draw is easy once you learn to see as Leonardo Da Vinci did. The interesting and fun drawing exercises introduced in the “Drawing from Realism to Abstraction” class at the Rehoboth Art League held on Saturdays, March 3 through April 14 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, will enable students to re-awaken the creative hemisphere of their brain and learn how to draw realistically. In addition, the instructor, local artist Donna Iarusso, will teach crosshatching, perspective, light and shadow as well as composition. Students will begin by learning to draw realistically but will end with the exploration of abstraction through the use of line, gesture, and color. The cost of this six-week class is $200 for members and $235 for non-members.
The instructor, Donna M. Iarusso, was a painter and muralist for over 35 years. She was also a member of the continuing education faculty at Queensborough Community College in New York where she taught drawing classes. To register for her class, go to www.rehobothartleague.org or call the Art League at 302-227-8408 ext. 112. All classes are held at the Rehoboth Art League, located at 12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres, Rehoboth Beach.
