Save the date, Dorchester Center for the Arts is pleased to host Brown Box Theatre Project on Friday May 25, for “Broadway Jukebox” in the George B. Todd Performance Hall. Showtime 8:00 p.m.
Brown Box believes that all people deserve easy access to the arts and the community benefits that they foster. Their mission is to break down barriers that separate the masses from live theatre by bringing the very best in performance, design, and collaboration to unconventional venues and underserved destinations to reach the widest audience possible. They implement a bold approach to their productions that connects audiences and artists through vibrant and enlightening experiences to transform the way theatre is created and consumed.
“Broadway Jukebox” is a musical theatre cabaret event, featuring almost 30 Broadway songs from which to choose, with each performance uniquely based on the selection of that evening’s audience. Upon arrival each audience member votes for their top three choices from a series of different musical theatre categories, including “The Golden Age,” “Contemporary Musicals,” “Disney on Broadway,” and more. Brown Box curates that night’s show on the spot in this interactive, family friendly evening, where they perform what YOU, the audience, consider the best of Broadway!
