The event includes live entertainment throughout the day in the woodland theatre, including performances by Shore Shakespeare and the Sammati Dance Troupe of Caroline County. Unicorn rides provided by Snapdragon Stables, fairy accessories (including unicorn headbands by K & I Hair Bows) and refreshments (including ice cream from Nice Farms Creamery) will be available for purchase.
Kicking off the fun, artist Diane DuBois Mullaly will lead a Fairy Gems workshop on Sun., September 16 at the Arboretum. Fairy Gems are small stones painted with fanciful fairy images like fairy wings and wands, flowers, fairies and gnomes. They are sprinkled with fairy dust and then hidden along the Arboretum’s trails to be discovered during Fairyfest. The workshop is $10 for members, $15 for non-members and $5 for children. All materials are provided, but enrollment is limited. Visit adkinsarboretum.org to register.
Admission to Fairyfest is $10 for adults and children ages 3 and up and free for children 2 and under. Admission can be paid in advance at adkinsarboretum.org.
Fairyfest is sponsored in part by Garden Treasures of Easton. For more information, call 410-634-2847, ext. 0 or visit adkinsarboretum.org.
