About Biggs Shot 2018
The Biggs Museum of American Art (Dover, DE) presents Biggs Shot 2018, the fifth juried photography competition and exhibition featuring the work of professional and emerging photographers, working and/or living in the Mid-Atlantic region. The theme for Biggs Shot 2018 is open, and any photographic medium can be submitted for consideration, including film, video and digital formats.
Juror – David Norbut
David Norbut is a portrait and music photographer with an intense passion for shooting street and documentary work. His photographs have been published in The Guardian, The New York Times and have been exhibited in several galleries around the globe. David is drawn to capturing the raw beauty of the people he meets and the environments surrounding us. He is based in Wilmington, Delaware.
Awards
The selected photographs will be showcased in the Biggs Shot 2018 exhibition at the Biggs Museum from December 7, 2018 – January 27, 2019. First Place – $1,500 Purchase Prize.
Deadline
All entries must be received or postmarked by November 2, 2018. Completed entries must include the entry form, payment of entry fee, submitted electronic files and a copy of the entrant’s resume/artist statement.
Entry Fees
A non-refundable fee of $35 entitles the photographer to submit three works to the competition. Additional works (up to 6 total) may be submitted for $5 per work. The Biggs Museum accepts Cash, Check, VISA, MasterCard or Discover.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
