Queen Anne’s County Centre for the Arts is pleased to present the first in our Eastern Shore Heritage & History Series. “A Place Called Home” is a shared experience of three writers, each with their own perspective on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Brent Lewis has deep Eastern Shore roots. His books include Remembering Kent Island: Stories from the Chesapeake and A History of the Kent Island Vollunteer Fire Dept, and the novel Bloody Point 1976. He’s written for magazines,newspapers, and newsletters.
Tara O’Brien Elliott is the founder and director of Salisbury’s Poetry Week and recently served as Poet-in-Residence for Freeman Stage. Her poems have appeared in TAOS Journal, Wildness, and The American Journal of Poetry, among others.
Kenton Kilgore is President of the Eastern Shore Writers Association, and is a presenter at this year’s Bay to Ocean conference. He writes kickass sci-fi and fantasy for young adults, and adults who are still young, including This Wasted Land, Lost Dogs, Dragontamer’s Daughters, and the children’s book Our Wild Place.
So come join us on Saturday February 16th 2019 from 7- 9 for an evening of wine, snacks and readings.
There will be a Q&A after each reading.
