Easton, MD – Building African American Minds (BAAM) Inc. is hosting its 5th Annual BAAM Fest on Saturday, May 11, 2019, noon to 4 p.m. at Idlewild Park in Easton, MD. The Fest will celebrate the partners BAAM has collaborated with in helping African American males become productive, confident citizens through positive academic, social, emotional, and spiritual experiences as children and young men. There will be informational booths, musical entertainment by The Exclusives from Bowie, MD, DJ Chyna, giveaways and door prizes, face painting by Jolie Faces, a clown show, Cascading Carlos’ Juggling show, dance contest, a basketball tournament, and a photo booth for setting up a fun Mother’s Day picture with mom. Free food and refreshments will be provided by Frase’s Grills on Wheels of Preston.
Partners include the Academy Art Museum, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Chesapeake College Adult Education, Choices Pregnancy Center, Easton Family YMCA, Easton Utilities, For All Seasons, Healthy Talbot, Imagination Library, Mid-Shore WIC, Talbot County Department of Social Services, Talbot County Department of Social Services, Talbot County Health Department – CPEST and BCCP Programs, Talbot County Hunger Coalition, Town of Easton, TriLife Christian Center, Vet Center Department of Veteran Affairs, Pickering Creek Audubon Center, and Neighborhood Service Center.
