The Preston carnival will be 7 to 11 p.m. nightly Monday, June 3, through Saturday, June 8, 2019.
The annual parade is 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, along Main Street in Preston, proceeding to the carnival grounds (rain date is Wednesday, June 5). Lineup for the parade begins at 6:30 p.m, with participants asked to arrive by 6:15 p.m. Call James at 410-924-3229 if you are interested in participating in the parade.
The carnival is hosted by the Preston Lions Club and the Preston Volunteer Fire Company.
Volunteers from both groups will be selling tickets for wristbands from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18 and 25, and June 1, at the carnival grounds off Williamson Street in Preston. The ride bracelets may be bought in advance for $14. Tickets for bracelets also will be available for purchase at the Garden Basket florist, located at Route 331 (Dover Bridge Road) and Tanyard Road near the Dover Bridge.
Wristbands may be used nightly except for parade night.
Enjoy rides and games, bingo, cake wheel, and delicious food, including funnel cake and hand-dipped ice cream. Rides and midway are from Shaw & Sons Inc.
This is an annual fundraiser for the Preston Volunteer Fire Company and the Preston Lions Club and benefits the local community.
