King has taken over as CBMM’s Information Technology Lead having worked in the IT field for 19 years for organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He is a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College and holds technical certifications in MCSE, CompTia A+, CompTia Network+, and CompTia Security+.

A native of Glen Burnie, Md., and current resident of Ridgely, Md., King is no stranger to the Chesapeake Bay, having grown up crabbing and boating on it with his father. His volunteer work includes work with several youth sports organizations, including serving as a coach and past president for both Caroline North Little League and Caroline Cougars Football and Cheer.

“I don’t think I have ever met a more genuine or passionate group of people to work with, and I am proud I get to call them my co-workers,” said King.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and making this resource available to all.

Every aspect of fulfilling this mission is driven by CBMM’s values of relevancy, authenticity, and stewardship, along with a commitment to providing engaging guest experiences and transformative educational programming, all while serving as a vital community partner.
