The conference will be held September 21-23, 2020 at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, bringing together over 50 invited and vetted journalists and over 50 destination marketing organization members from the Mid-Atlantic region.
“We are honored to be selected for MATPRA Media Marketplace 2020 for Delaware’s Quaint Villages,” said Pete Bradley, President of Kent County Tourism Corporation. “This is a great opportunity to showcase all of what Kent County has to offer to media journalists and other destination marketing organizations from the Mid-Atlantic area.”
Attendees of 2020 MATPRA Media Marketplace will have the opportunity to choose several different tour options to explore in Delaware’s Quaint Villages. Each tour is designed to highlight Kent County’s major attractions, unique tour offerings, outdoor activities and museums. In addition, these tours will give journalists an opportunity to write about all Delaware’s Quaint Villages has to offer from a visitor’s perspective.
“We are so excited to be working with Delaware’s Quaint Villages to plan this year’s event” said Melissa Joseph Muntz, Chair of Mid-Atlantic Tourism PR Alliance. “Mid-Atlantic travel writers will be given a unique opportunity to see this area like never before whether this is their first visit or their favorite destination. Anticipation is already building among our members.”
MATPRA is a cohesive unit of regional tourism partners encompassing Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia. The alliance strives to serve travel journalists by offering resources that ignore geographic boundaries, as do travelers. Common threads and regional highlights are identified to offer more stories for journalists that are interested in offering the prospective of Mid-Atlantic destinations as a whole.
