Samatha Collins has been working with “text to speech” software to create amazing audio short stories.
“Text to speech” software is widely used by the vision impaired to navigate the Internet, read emails, articles, etc.
Once she discovered the software she started with a sentence, then a paragraph, and then started making up short stories for the computer voices to read. From there she was hooked!
“I downloaded more voices, then discovered little tricks to coax out more emotion.” Samantha said. “For instance, instead of typing “oh no”, if I spelled it “ho no”, the voice sounded more breathy and exasperated.”
