Memorial Day Weekend for me for the past few years has been the Annual Chestertown Tea Party. For more than 40 years it has been held on the during Memorial Day Week. That is until this year subduing to the Covid-19 Virus.
In honor of the Chestertown Tea Party, this week’s Photo of the Week is one of the 1000’s I have shot over the years.
I could have selected one from the morning parade. Or of any of the day’s events. They have varied over the years. I picked this one from 2017. The re-enactment is over and the Tea is floating in the harbor silently in memory.
Is it my favorite? To me picking a favorite photo is akin to a parent choosing their favorite child. Impossible if you have more than one.
I have been photographing the event for many years now. Some of those photos can be seen on the Facebook Page – ShoreToBeFun Photographs. Simplely click on the Photos button, then See All albums and scroll through the Albums.
The Chestertown Tea Party will be back this time in 2021 as healthy as ever.
