Chestertown, MD – For the first time since 2012 photographer Steve Atkinson will not be photographing the Annual 4th of July Parade in Rock Hall. Like many Independence Day Activities all over Delmarva, the town has cancelled this year’s parade due to Covid-19 concerns.
The parade has often been cited as one of the area’s best small town parades in the area.
Looking back on those parades, he will be posting each morning on his facebook page – ShoreToBeFun Photographs an album of photographs from past years. The first two, 2012 and 2013, have already been posted with 2014 to be posted around 8am on July 1, 2020.
“These parades hold a lot of memories for me and I want to share my photographs.” he said. “I am hoping this is just small hip-cup and the town can continue the annual parade in 2021 and for many years forward. As long as they do and I’m able to photograph it, I’ll be there.”
Even though the parade and other Independence Day activities have been cancelled, the town is still inviting visitors to come and enjoy its small time charm.
