Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, it appears that the Tred Avon Players will have to cancel the remainder of the 2020 season. In addition to “And Then There None” in April, this affects the August production of “Camelot” and also the October production of “The Great Gatsby”. This decision has not been made lightly and we are eager to return to the stage as soon as possible. All three of these shows had large casts and production teams and we wish to present them with no restrictions to our audience size. We are currently applying to maintain the rights to these shows and to move them to the same date and time slots in 2021.
With that said, in the event that we can assemble inside the OCC at a later date, we are also exploring the option of a couple replacement shows for 2020. These plays have small casts and would be economically feasible to produce with restrictions on audience size. Keep in mind that it takes three months to mount a full scale production and time has run out on us to audition, cast, rehearse, and produce our final two shows in 2020.
As soon as we get confirmation on finishing the 2020 season in 2021, we will notify you again with that news. In the meantime, we do not wish to take any chances with the health and safety of our cast, crews, and audience members.
Thank you for your continued support. Please stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
