Newark, DE – The 2020 Turkey Trot is going virtual! No need to check the weather or worry about the hill at the corner of Valley and Church Roads. This year’s run is on your terms. You can still complete the event with your family or inner circle. The process is simple:
1) Register at Races2Run.com (https://raceroster.com/events/2020/34036/48th-annual-newark-turkey-trot-10k-5k)
2) You must register by November 13 for a choice sized shirt.
3) Choose the length of your run 5k or 10K or both. Cost is $15 for either the 10K or 5k and $20 if doing both.
4) Pick a day to run between November 13 and November 29.
5) Select your favorite running trail, park, track, treadmill, or course to cover the appropriate distance.
6) Use a fitness watch or smartphone app to track your distance and time. Take a picture of your record.
7) Submit your time and picture of your record.
8) Share your fun and create memories on social media
9) Pick up your Turkey Trot shirt(s) at the drive through shirt pickup at the City Municipal Building on Friday 11/20 (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) & Saturday, 11/21 (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
Online registration closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 20th. No shirts after 11/20 at noon.
Online registration will only be taken on the Races2Run website.
