Much of the economy of Maryland’s Eastern Shore is from agriculture. So it’s natural that County Fairs are a big part of life here. Beginning just after the 4th of July leading up to the Maryland State Fair (Aug 26 – Sep 6), and a few after, it’s fair season.
I have been part of the Kent County Fair for many years. Most of these photos are from there, but all of the fairs are family events where all come to play games, enjoying rides, food, live entertainment, contests and much more.
Not only are there the usual farm animals, cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, etc, but at you may also find some exotic animals too.
