REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – The Rehoboth Art League welcomes back the Young at Art exhibition, which showcases teacher-selected artwork from Sussex County children in grades kindergarten through high school. The exhibition, which will represent dozens of students showing exceptional artistic talent, will run from March 12 through March 27, 2022.
The Young at Art exhibition is an annual favorite at the Rehoboth Art League. In collaboration with local public and private school teachers, the exhibition features a selection of wonderful artworks created by the youth in our local communities. This is often the first opportunity for these young artists to have their work displayed in a gallery space.
This year, the Rehoboth Art League welcomes twenty public and private schools to exhibit a selection of their students’ artwork in the Corkran Gallery on the historic Henlopen Acres campus. Participating schools include Beacon Middle, Delmarva Christian High, Delmarva Christian K-8, East Millsboro Elementary, H.O. Brittingham Elementary, Indian River High, John M. Clayton Elementary, Long Neck Elementary, Love Creek Elementary, Lulu Ross Elementary, Milford Central Academy, Millsboro Middle, Milton Elementary, Rehoboth Elementary, Richard A. Shields Elementary, Seaford High, Seaford Middle, Southern Delaware School of the Arts, Sussex Academy, and Woodbridge Middle.
Each art teacher has chosen the best student work to represent the school, and selections will be judged with ribbons, cash awards, and scholarships. We invite the public to celebrate the exhibition’s opening by visiting the galleries throughout the day on March 12th, with award winners being announced across our social media.
This exhibition, which is underwritten by PNC Bank and supported by the Village Improvement Association and the Howard Pyle Studio Group, is free and open to the public during the regular gallery hours of Monday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm and Sunday, noon to 4pm. The Rehoboth Art League will continue to follow all local and CDC COVID safety guidelines for operating. Please be aware that masks are required for entry into all buildings and that numbers of patrons will be monitored to ensure social distancing indoors.
