The Benedictine campus in Ridgely, MD is the unique home of Maryland’s largest classic car and motorcycle ride. Affectionately known as the Chrome City Ride, the quiet green spaces of this former monastery and present-day community for people with developmental disabilities are transformed into a roaring, gleaming, chrome-covered campus. The Chrome City Ride is scheduled for July 31, 2022.
Since the inaugural ride in 2001, Chrome City has paved the way for nearly 10,000 participants in total to make their way down the long lane and onto Benedictine’s campus. The proceeds from this event benefit the children and adults with developmental disabilities that Benedictine serves.
