REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – Millefiori cane working is a technique that was originally used in glass work for making complex designs. A cane is a log or cylinder that has a design or pattern running through it created with different colors of polymer clay, so each cross-section slice of the cane holds the design. In “Millefiori Canes in Polymer Clay” at the Rehoboth Art League on Wednesdays, May 25 through June 15 from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m., participants will learn how to use polymer clay to create custom colors, blends, patterns, and shapes using a variety of tools and techniques. The class will use these hues, tints, and shades to create their rod-shaped patterns or canes. In addition to the class fee of $185 for members and $220 for non-members, there is a $40 materials fee to be paid to the instructor.
To register for a class, go to www.rehobothartleague.org or call the Art League at 302-227-8408 ext. 112. All classes are be held at the Rehoboth Art League, located at 12 Dodds Lane in Rehoboth Beach.
