The Board of Directors of Cambridge Main Street has announced a new executive director for the non-profit organization, located in downtown Cambridge, MD.
Dorchester County native, Christina Wingate-Spence has been named executive director for Cambridge Main Street, whose mission is to foster economic vitality, and preserve and promote historic downtown Cambridge, while enhancing a dynamic and inclusive city center.
In addition to her professional experiences, Wingate-Spence has been a member of various community volunteer organizations, committees and boards.
“As someone who has spent the majority of my life in Dorchester County, I am thrilled to have been offered the opportunity to utilize my marketing, communications and public relations skills to help promote and grow Cambridge’s Main Street District,” says Wingate-Spence. “I am deeply rooted in this county – this community – and because of that, I have a vested interest in the success and continued development of the local businesses that my family and I enjoy, as will future generations.”
Abby Messick, president of the Board of Directors for Cambridge Main Street adds, “It is our vision that Cambridge will have a vibrant downtown that engages with and connects our local community, visitors to our area, and local businesses.
