Delmarva Power Ranks Highest in Residential Customer Satisfaction in the East Midsize Region for Third Consecutive Year by J.D. Power

Company ranked number one in Corporate Citizenship and Price in East Midsize Region

Delmarva Power achieved the number one ranking for residential electric satisfaction in the East Midsize Region* according to the J.D. Power 2024 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study℠. This is the third consecutive year and the fourth time in six years** that the company has achieved this ranking.

Delmarva Power shared the highest ranking among 11 comparatively sized electric utilities in the East Midsize Region with a score of 703, on a 1,000-point scale. Delmarva Power also ranked highest overall in two of the areas considered for scoring, Corporate Citizenship and Price.

Delmarva Power continues delivering on its promise of powering a cleaner and brighter future for its customers and communities:

  • Reducing the frequency and duration of power outages by modernizing the local energy grid with automated equipment, making the grid smarter and more resilient, resulting in some of the lowest frequency of outages ever just last year.
  • Leveraging tools to help customers manage their energy use, like high usage alerts, regular energy reports, and user-friendly tools and energy efficiency programs to help customers save money and energy.
  • Supporting customers experiencing challenges paying their energy bill by launching the Assistance Finder tool, which connects them with helpful energy assistance, and offering payment plans and programs aimed at helping to keep every customer connected.
  • Expanding support for diversity-certified suppliers by purchasing $190 million in goods and services, which accounted for 40 percent of the company’s total yearly purchases in 2023.
  • Providing approximately $2.3 million annually to area nonprofits, while 631 employees volunteered more than 17,200 hours with hundreds of organizations across Delaware and Maryland in 2023.
