In the end of February, WSW was named as the beneficiary of the 2025 International Women’s Day Dinner at Ristorante Antipasti, located in Ocean City, MD. The owners of the restaurant, Binda & Fausto DiCarlo, have held the dinner for twelve years now, donating to local women in need or nonprofit organizations who support women in the past. WSW PR & Marketing Coordinator, Raven Cook, and WSW Event Coordinator, Andie Hess, represented the organization and attended the event on the evening of March 9, 2025.

The dinner consisted of a fine Italian-style four-course meal, with both silent and Chinese auctions, and raffles for attendees to participate in. The raffles and auctions held highly desirable items, some of the most notable being a gold and diamond bracelet donated by Park Place Jewelers, an orange crush-themed basket complete with a citrus press, and a Yves Saint Laurent designer handbag valued at $2,500. The evening began with attendees getting settled in and socializing. Soon after, Binda welcomed everyone by explaining the history and importance of International Women’s Day. Later, Raven gave a speech about WSW, explaining the history of the organization and how they are able to provide much-needed services to the community at no cost. Later in the evening, the Ristorante Antipasti family presented WSW with a check for $10,000.

Women Supporting Women would like to share how thankful they are for the recognition from Ristorante Antipasti. In her speech, Raven shared with attendees that WSW receives all of their funding only through grants, fundraising events, and kind donations, such as this. Raven stated, “We could not be more appreciative of this generous donation from such a prestigious and hospitable restaurant, staff, and family. It’s local businesses like Ristorante Antipasti who allow for WSW to continue serving this wonderful community, and we are incredibly grateful for their support of us and our mission.”.
