Auditioners are encouraged to present monologues drawn from shows other than those in which they may have performed. Audition sides have been posted to the company’s website: www.shoreshakespeare.com.Those interested in auditioning are requested to register by sending an email with contact information to auditions@shoreshakespeare.com or by visiting the company’s website.

As You Like It is the company’s sixth annual tour production. A total of 10 outdoor performances are scheduled at 4 different venues around the Upper Shore during the month of June. All performances are free and open to the public.

Rogers envisions a light-hearted, occasionally bawdy, pastoral romp examining love, loyalty, and the divide between court and country. As adapted, the script explicitly calls for doubling, even tripling, of many roles. Rogers anticipates casting 14-16 actors for all roles, including at least six men and four women. Younger actors and actors who can sing are particularly desired, but singing ability is not required. Roles of varying size and for varying abilities are available. No roles have been pre-cast. All roles involve some singing and/or dancing. Some roles involve robust physical activity; some male roles may entail stage fighting.
