On Tuesday, March 14, 2018 at approximately 6:35 pm. Brian Douglas Dulledge, 50 years old of Pikesville, Maryland was traveling westbound on MD Rt. 404 near River Rd., in Caroline County, Maryland when his white Hyundai Santa Fe struck the rear of a tractor trailer. The tractor trailer was being driven by Olanrewaj O. Aijke 42 years of age of Smyrna, Delaware. Aijke was not injured in the accident, however Dulledge was flown via MSP Trooper #6 and was later pronounced deceased upon arrival to Maryland Shock Trauma. MD Rt. 404 at River Rd was closed to vehicle traffic in both directions for approximately one hour. The Santa Fe was towed from the scene. The trailer was left on the shoulder and the truck tractor was towed from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
The Maryland State Police was assisted by Paramedic 16 of Greensboro, MD, Station 300 of Denton Fire Department, MSP Crash Team, MSP Commercial Enforcement Division, MSP Trooper 6 and Caroline County Sheriff’s Department.
