Sumner Hall, one of two existing African American G.A.R. buildings still standing in the United States located in Chestertown, MD, announces their April 2018 events:

MLK History Harvest
April 4th, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Share and record your memories of MLK’s life, death, and legacy. Washington College students will be “stand by ready” to document any stories, reflections, photographs, letters, or clippings. Recordings will be archived at Washington College, curated by students, and shared with the community in the future. No cost to participants.

Community Supper
April 4th, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Enjoy music, remembrances and a light supper at Sumner Hall. Offered free of charge to the public.

Environmental Film
April 5th, 7:00 pm
A viewing of Vik Muniz’s Wasteland presented by the Chestertown Environment Committee. Offered free of charge to the public.
