Maryland PSC Schedules First Public Hearing for Cherrywood Solar Project in Caroline County

The Maryland Public Service Commission will hold the first of two public comment hearings on the application of Cherrywood Solar I, LLC to construct a 202 MW solar generating facility in Caroline County, Maryland. The hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the Greensboro Fire Hall, 13781 Greensboro Road in Greensboro, Maryland. Members of the public who wish to comment on the matter are welcome to attend the hearing before Public Utility Law Judge Jennifer J. Grace. A second public comment hearing will be held on September 10, 2018 at a time and location to be determined.

According to the application, the solar facility will be constructed on 16 parcels in the vicinity of the towns of Greensboro and Goldsboro. Copies of the application are available for public inspection and copying at the Caroline County Department of Planning and Codes, Health & Public Services Building, 403 South 7th Street, Suite 210, Denton, Maryland.
