Attention High School Artists!
Delmarva Power’s storage tank, which helps provide safe, reliable, affordable and clean natural gas service to northern Delaware, is being repainted! We are looking for artwork submissions from high school students to select a new mural for the storage tank. We are accepting submissions until June 1, 2018!
Prizes
– $5,000 scholarship for the winning artwork.
– $1,000 sholarships for TWO other finalists.
An Eco-Art Contest
We are committed to protecting sensitive habitats. The property surrounding the storage tank includes nearly 30 acres of natural woods and marshland, which support the neighboring Russell W. Peterson Urban Wildlife Refuge. Artwork submissions should capture the importance of sustaining natural ecosystems and preserving our environment for future generations.
Who is Eligible?
The contest is open to individual high school students who reside in New Castle County, Del. or are enrolled in a high school in New Castle County, Del. Winners must attend an award ceremony on June 19, 2018.
