8th Annual Art in Nature Photo Festival

Pop-Up exhibit runs August 11-12 with Festival.

Throughout the weekend, photographers of all skill levels are invited to participate in seminars and workshops offered by a selection of the region’s top nature photographers.

August 10-12, 2018 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), admission to the Ward Museum Galleries is free to the public. Wristband access (3 day access) to the keynote address, VIP reception, Ansel Adams’ Special Exhibit, Photography lectures, plus community partner discounts.

**Free wristband for Museum Members, VIPs, Salisbury University faculty/staff/student, and AIN competitors.**

Additionally, photographers are encouraged to enter their photos in one of the competitions three levels: professional, amateur, or youth.

The nature photography competition held during the Art in Nature Photo Festival is open to Professional, Amateur and Youth photographers. All photos are submitted in printed format with a finished canvas size of either 8”x10” or 11”x14” without matting, mounting or framing. Entries are displayed in the museum until the end of the festival on Sunday. First place winning photos will be exhibited in the Welcome Gallery of the museum for up to three months.

All photos must be original photographs and correctly reflect the subject matter as it appeared in the viewfinder with nothing added to the image, and aside from dust spots, nothing taken away; and have been taken within the last two years. Categories for Professional and Amateur photos include: Birds, Plants and animals other than birds, Landscape/scenery, Black & White, Nature macro/micro photos and Smart Device. Smart Device and macro are for Amateur and Youth only. Entries are judged Saturday evening on basis of originality/uniqueness, creativity, content, composition, and photographic quality. All decisions made by the judges are final. Mail- Ins will be accepted July 1, 2018 through August 10, 2018. Walk-ins are welcomed August 10 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
