Palette Knife and Bold Brush Impressionism in Oil Paint at the Rehoboth Art League

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – Guest artist Michele Byrne will be teaching a three-day workshop for intermediate oil painters entitled “Palette Knife and Bold Brush Impressionism in Oil Paint” at the Rehoboth Art League Saturday through Monday, September 8, 9 and 10 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day. Michele will show participants how to keep their oil painting loose with a palette knife and bold brush. She will go over her basic composition theory, value studies, and how to tell a story in paint. Michele will also discuss how to add the figure to your paintings in a natural way to give your paintings life. The cost of the three-day workshop is $375 per person.

Michele Byrne is recognized for her figurative plein air work. She lives and works in Reading, PA, where she was born. She travels extensively, painting in various locations including: Manhattan, Paris, California, Colorado and Key West. Byrne has won numerous awards in her plein air and studio work including a top prize in the prestigious Salmagundi Club in NYC.
