DENTON — Compass Regional Hospice will be hosting, along with Bill and Gail Towers, the 2018 Caroline County Festival of Trees. The event will take place at the Towers Family Historical Museum, 26299 Sennett Road, Denton, and all proceeds will benefit hospice and grief support services in Caroline County provided by Compass Regional Hospice, the sole hospice and grief support services provider in Caroline County since 2014.
“It’s an honor and privilege to be able to host the hospice Festival of Trees again this year,” said Bill Towers, owner of the Towers Family Historical Museum in Denton.
The event will begin Tuesday, November 27, 2018 with tree setup from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tree setup will continue on Wednesday, November 28, from 2 to 6 p.m. Trees will be available for viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 30, and Santa will make a special appearance that evening, as well. Trees again will be available for viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 1. The venue will be closed for a private event on Thursday, November 29.
Bidding for the trees will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 29, and will run through 4 p.m. Saturday, December 1, and will be facilitated by Trice Auctions. Whomever has the winning bid on a tree will be able to pick up their tree between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, December 2.
“At some point in your life, someone you know or someone in your family will be touched by the need for hospice care,” Towers said. “Hospice provides a very necessary service in our community. The Festival of Trees is a great way to show your support by either sponsoring a tree, by bidding on one of the trees, or by just coming and enjoying the beauty of this season.”
