Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s Brightwork will give participants hands-on experience in how to strip old paint and varnish.

ST MICHAELS, MD – From 10am–4pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will host a Brightwork Workshop in its boatshop. Advanced registration is required.

Organized through CBMM’s Apprentice for a Day Shipyard Programs, this workshop invites guests to learn the art of finishing from Shipyard Programs Manager Jennifer Kuhn. Participants will get hands-on experience learning how to strip old paint and varnish, how to properly prepare surfaces while addressing any problem areas, and how to apply new varnish and/or paint to those surfaces.
