Newark’s annual Egg Hunt

Newark’s annual egg hunt is a spring time family tradition. Parents watch, and in some cases help, their children hunt for plastic eggs filled with goodies to celebrate the Easter season. The hunt will be held at White Clay Creek State Park’s Carpenter Recreation Area on Saturday, April 13, 2019 beginning at 10 a.m. All children should bring a basket or bag to collect their goodies. State Park fees will be in effect.

The schedule for the hunt is as follows: walking to 4 year-old children will begin at 10 a.m. Children ages 5 – 9 years old will begin at 10:30 a.m. If weather is questionable the day of the hunt, please call the Parks and Recreation Department’s Leisure Time Hotline at 302-366-7147 after 9 a.m. The rain date is Sunday, April 14, beginning at 2 p.m. for walking – 4 years old and 2:30 p.m. for ages 5-9.
