REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – Ever wonder what to do with all that junk mail? This two-day workshop from artists, Barbara Buford and Ginny Barney will inspire you to look at junk mail in a whole new way. You will create your own collage papers using old pages, junk mail, tissue paper, deli paper and a variety of unusual things that will make your collage unique to your style. You will paint, stamp, stencil, and make marks on the papers to create beautiful bold designs. The first part of the workshop will be spent learning the mark-making process using common household items. The papers will then be torn up to create the background for your collage. On day two of the workshop, the class will be creating the collage on a wooden cradle board. When the collage is dry you will learn how to apply matte medium to give the collage an encaustic look. This class runs Wednesday May 22 and Thursday May 23rd from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. The cost of the workshop is $115 per person.

To register for the class, go to www.rehobothartleague.org or call the Art League at 302-227-8408 ext. 112. All classes are held at the Rehoboth Art League located at 12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres, Rehoboth Beach.
