New Castle, DE – There is still time to register your team for the seventh annual Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore “Walk With Me Delmarva & 5K Fun Run” event to be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Baywood Greens, 32267, Clubhouse Way, Long Neck, DE. It will unite hundreds of Easterseals families and supporters in Delaware and along Maryland’s Eastern Shore to raise funds for Easterseals services to benefit the lives of local individuals and families living with disabilities.
“The Walk With Me Delmarva event has always been a great time that helps connect families, friends and neighbors as a community working towards a great cause; supporting services for people with disabilities living in our local community,” Linda Forte, event coordinator, said. “We need help from the public to continue to serve families in lower Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore!”
Not only will walkers share the company of event ambassadors, Tish and Lily, who receive services from Easterseals, they will also be serenaded by Elvis, aka Bob Lougheed. Disney princesses, Miss Delaware and the Chick-fil-A Cow will also be joining walkers along their route. There will also be wildlife from the Barn Hill Animal Preserve. Delaware State Police K-9s and helicopter, a fire truck, a moon bounce, face painting, free massages and so much more to entertain the entire family. Also, do not miss the golf putting contest.
