Chestertown RiverArts is actively seeking candidates for the position of ArtsAlive! Education Center Manager. RiverArts is an active and growing part of the lively arts scene in Kent County and the surrounding region, with the mission “to be the place where the arts meet the community.” The ArtsAlive! Center at 200 High Street in Chestertown is home to adult arts classes, pop-up galleries and events, and more.
The ArtsAlive! Manager manages and promotes the ArtsAlive! Education Center, designs and coordinates programming, community outreach and engagement, events, and stakeholder activities including classes, pop-up galleries, open houses, and other events and meetings. They are responsible for management and maintenance of the ArtsAlive! Center as a vibrant and welcoming participatory center for arts and learning, in partnership with RiverArts’ other centers at the Gallery, KidSPOT, and Clay Studio. As a key staff member in an active and growing non-profit organization, The ArtsAlive! Manager works collaboratively with the Executive Director, staff, and volunteers to organize, promote, and facilitate a busy calendar of events and activities.

• An ability to work enthusiastically with people from all parts of the local community and visiting guests, artists, and instructors
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Logistical and organizational skills
• Budget and data management and reporting
• Marketing and graphic design
• Creative thinking and problem solving

RiverArts galleries and main office are at 315 High Street, Suite 106, Chestertown, MD 21620 – (in the breezeway). Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 5:30PM, Sunday 11 AM – 3 PM, First Fridays until 8 PM.
