For centuries letter writing has existed, using various materials available as tools to communicate. Today, communication is done mostly by electronic means, and as such there is less of an intimacy which a hand written letter provides.
A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters was first seen in New York in 1989 and has since been presented around the world with such illustrious stars as Elizabeth Taylor and James Earl Jones.
Love Letters transcends time, and allows us the intimacy of a poignant, longing and loving relationship between two people from childhood to middle age. It will make you laugh and cry and touch you with a flurry of memories you may have forgotten of a time when getting a letter meant so much.
