Centreville, MD – The Queen Anne’s County Arts Council invites you to spend a night exploring the culture of Cuba through the work of photographer John Guthrie on November 16, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm. In a talk titled “Cultural Snapshots of Cuba” Guthrie will walk us through colonial Cuba, farming wealth, entertainment era, revolution, current economy, art, music, and the convivial people of Cuba.
162 photographs accompany a recounting of the personal experiences of Mr. Guthrie. And, of course, all of this will be set in our gallery amidst Jon Shaw’s Cuba exhibition of paintings. So, if you haven’t seen that show already, this is the perfect opportunity and setting.
