Most of the organizations and events published on these pages are put on by non-profit groups and venues. They rely on community support to do all that they do.
The first Tuesday in December, since 2012, has been ‘Giving Tuesday’. The movement was started by the 92nd Stree Y and the United Nations Foundation. The days after Thanksgiving had, in their view, become too commercialized and charitable giving was being left behind. The movement has grown over the years to become the Global Event of Generosity of the year.
Please take a few minutes and seek out your favorite Art and Entertainment group or venue and give them a little support. It will mean a lot.
