An Important Message from Possum Point Players

Sussex Theatre

As a result of on-going concerns regarding the Corona Virus pandemic and in compliance with the recommendations of Governor John Carney and the State of Delaware, Possum Point Players Board of Trustees has found it necessary to adjust our 2020 season.

Our production of GODSPELL has been rescheduled for July 24, 25, 26, July 31, and August 1 and 2. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for the original performance dates will be honored and will be rolled over in correlation with the newly scheduled performance dates. For example, Friday, March 27 becomes Friday, July 24; Saturday, March 28 becomes Saturday, July 25; and so on. This same procedure will be true for the second weekend. If for any reason the new show dates are not convenient, please contact our offices at 302.856.3460 or 302.856.4560.

Also, our production of Noel Coward’s comedy HAY FEVER has been moved to June 19, 20, 21, and June 26, 27, 28. The same procedures that were detailed for GODSPELL will be in place. In other words, Friday, June 5 now becomes Friday, June 19 and so on.

All Season Ticket holders will be receiving via first-class mail a detailed breakdown of their tickets for the balance of our 2020 season.

For now, if you are unable to find another appropriate date for a show, you may request a refund; or you may request a credit towards a ticket to a future show; or in the understanding that COVID-19 has caused a disruption far beyond our control, patrons may leave their ticket fee to the theatre as a donation assisting us as we move forward.

The health and safety of our patrons and volunteers is our utmost concern and these changes are based on our knowledge of the current situation. All are subject to change with any further developments. Please continue to monitor our website at www.possumpointplayers.org or our Facebook page for any further developments.

Thank you for your support and understanding, and please stay safe.
