Due to the inclement weather in the forecast for Friday, March 13, the City of Newark has canceled the groundbreaking ceremony for the new park and stormwater facility located on Hillside Road. The ceremony will be rescheduled when the second phase of construction begins later this spring.
A survey seeking names for the new park will still be distributed this Friday. All submissions are due by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th. The person that submits the winning name will earn a $100 Parks and Recreation gift card.
