GCTV April 22 Event Flyer
The Garfield Center for the Arts is pleased and excited to announce an original one-act Children’s Fairy Tale Theatre play by Maryland Playwright Rich Pauli as its next live GCTV online streamed presentation. How Simone Found Happiness will make its premiere as a reader’s theatre performance on the evening of Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 7:30 PM.

In How Simone Found Happiness, Princess Simone leaves the comfort of her Father’s kingdom to discover the fates of her long-departed sisters, who each left in search of adventure and were never heard from again. Simone’s own adventure takes her to foreign lands where she meets exotic new friends, finds happiness for herself and for everyone around her, and helps her teach everyone a heart-felt lesson in kindness. It is a warm, funny, clever play that will have kids and audiences of all ages laughing and cheering.

A resident of Annapolis, Rich Pauli is no stranger to The Garfield Center. He travels the bridge once a month to participate as a very active member in Live Playwrights’ Society. He also has had two of his short plays selected to premiere in GCA’s Short Attention Span Theatre: 2018’s The New Me and 2019’s Don Vito’s Method.

How Simone Found Happiness will feature a stellar cast of familiar GCA performers, including Jim and Diane Landskroener, Jen Friedman, Mike Heffron, Kendall Davis, Dylan Lyles, Hester Sachse, Brad Chaires, Shannon Whitaker, Zac Ryan, Brian Whitaker and GCA’s Executive Director, Steven Arnold.

GCTV is presented weekly on Wednesday evenings, starting at 7:30 PM as a live stream on The Garfield Center for the Arts’ Facebook page. GCTV was created to provide live, local performance presentations to keep the arts active and the community engaged during the COVID19 crisis and self-isolation.
