Online Watercolor Classes for Beginner and Intermediate Artists at the Rehoboth Art League

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – While you are “staying at home” find your inner artist and register online for one of the Rehoboth Art League’s upcoming online art classes. All the classes are held on the Zoom Video Platform.

On Monday, May 18 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, the Art League will offer “Exploring Watercolor with Gerilyn Gaskill: Salt Marshes” for beginner and intermediate painters. Participants will be painting from photos. Gerilyn will demonstrate watercolor tips and techniques while painting salt marshes. Then, while participants paint their own salt marsh scene, she will assist with any painting questions. Finally, each participant will hold up their work for critique. The cost of the class is $30.00 per person.

On Wednesday May 20 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., the Art League will offer “Watercolor Techniques for Beginners.” This online class taught by local artist, Myndi Smithers is for true beginners who want to have fun while learning the basic skills to paint with watercolors. Participants will do exercises to learn basic brushstroke techniques and methods for watercolor application. Experimentation will be encouraged. The cost of the class is $30.00 per person.

All registered students will receive an invitation by email the day before the class with a link to join the class on Zoom. To use Zoom you just need an internet connected computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone and a webcam or built-in camera on your computer as well as a computer microphone.
