Statement from the Cecil County Fair Board about 2020 Fair

Cecil

County Fair Board:

It is with great regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Cecil County Fair. Our concern is for the health and safety of our community, attendees, exhibitors, vendors, volunteers and all involved with the Cecil County Fair. The Fair Board of Directors, in consultation with Cecil County officials, has determined that it is impossible to predict when the COVID-19 situation will be resolved to a point where an event like ours can occur.

All events related to the fair will be cancelled with the exception of 4-H events and the 4-H Livestock Auction, which will all be done virtually. 4-Hers will receive more information as our plans are solidified. We encourage the public and small businesses to continue to support the 4-H Livestock Auction. Stay tuned to our website cecilcountyfair.org or our Facebook page for more information about the ways you can support our 4-Hers. We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s fair July 23 – 31, 2021.

“The Cecil County Fair has always strongly supported and promoted agriculture and 4-H in Cecil County. Please remember to continue to support and appreciate local agriculture as well as the dedication of all front line workers in these uncertain times. We look forward to bringing back the largest event in Cecil County next year when it is safe for us to be together again,”

Fair Board President Don Moore.
