Church Hill, MD – After an election process agreed upon by The Church Hill Theatre, Inc’s Board of Directors, an election was completed this weekend to replace former Chairman of the Board, Dr. David Bowering who resigned his position as of October 4, 2020. It was with a clear majority that The Board of Directors elected Thomas Rhodes October 12th. Mr. Rhodes will assume the duties of the Chairman through Dr. Bowering’s term ending in June 2021.
While relatively new to the Board of Directors, Tom and his wife have been fixtures of the CHT community in their many volunteer capacities in the past four (4) seasons.
“Most recently, as Executive Manager, I have experienced his breadth of knowledge and extraordinary abilities heading a team of volunteers in renovating, repairing, and cleaning up the interior and exterior of The Theatre.” said Carmen Renée. Ms. Renée is confident that Tom’s 40 years of project management experience will be a strong asset for CHT.
His experiences include managing project teams in coordinating multiple contractors, managing project schedules, budgets, commissioning, and final acceptance of many large projects. The Board anticipates that his career reputation of “getting things done, on time, with the least amount of problems” will serve the future of Church Hill Theatre very well.
