Chincoteague Cultural Alliance (CCA) has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Holly Day Market. Although we were prepared to have protocols in place to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, vendors as well as shoppers and our volunteers, the COVID-19 infection rate continues to rise every week here in Virginia as well as in many other states. In light of the latest state mandated protocols, this is the best public safety decision as well as the most socially responsible one.
We live in a vibrant community and country; each of us has so much to offer. Let’s work together to stop the spread of the virus by limiting social contacts and wearing masks. We look forward to better times when CCA can host all of our usual events safely.
